The FAB effects series are a line of low cost guitar effect pedals that were launched by Danelectro in the 2000s. These pedals were released as a low cost alternative to other effects pedals which can be much costlier in price.

[edit] Construction
The Fab series is made from plastic with a metal bottom plate. Similar to Danelectro's "lunchbox" or "mini" models the bottom plate is removable by unscrewing the single large plastic screw on the bottom which is archievable either with a flathead screwdriver or small coin. The removal of the bottom plate reveals the circuitry and the 9v battery.
The FAB pedals have standard 1/4 inch size phono jacks for input/output and can be run on either a 9volt battery or from an external 9V DC power source.
The effects on/off status is indicated by an LED in the centre of the pedal.
[edit] Design
The FAB series design is unique in that it has three raised tubes running along the top of the pedal which end at the top of the pedal with the control knobs mounted on the end facing the back, this is to avoid any unwanted adjustments to the control knobs whilst stomping the pedal due to its small size.
