Brad Foster is a true entrepreneur. As long as he can remember he’s had that entrepreneurial spirit along with the drive and ambition to be at the helm of his own successful business. Over the last two years, he’s been working hard to make that dream a reality and it’s started to pay off in spades.

In 2001, Foster graduated from the Professional Editing program at the Briti s h Columbia Institute of Technology. He began his career working for a number of production companies. He even had the chance to work for a local television station, but didn’t seize the opportunity because he knew there was going to be a better opportunity for him just around the corner.

Then in a chance meeting through a mutual friend, Brodie Gunning contacted Foster for help editing a project he was working on. The pair connected immediately. Both were entrepreneurs and both were in search of a lucrative and creative business concept. That’s when the idea for an advertising and marketing company materialized one afternoon during a marathon brainstorming session at a local Starbucks.

In 2005, The Foster Gunning Media Group was launched with a number of small elevator ad spaces in apartment buildings throughout the City of Langley. That same year they founded Gunning Ads and began focusing on scrolling mall advertising and large scale banner ads. After two years of evolving the company into what it is today, Gunning Ads has repositioned itself by renaming the company The Media Merchants.

Today Foster dreams of building his business into one of the largest advertising and communications companies in B.C.
