[edit] Notes

A McDonnell F-4J Phantom II (BuNo. 153856) aircraft from fighter squadron VF-33 Tarsiers, Attack Carrier Air Wing Six (CVW-6), lands aboard the attack aircraft carrier USS America (CVA-66). The date given (15 Oct 1987) must be wrong, as VF-33 was stationed on the America flying the F-4J in 1968 during a deployment to Vietnam. From 1969 to 1978 VF-33 was assigned to CVW-7 (tail code "AG"). It was again assigned to CVW-6 from 1979 to 1981 flying the F-4J, but stationed aboard the carrier USS Independence (CV-62).
