Brent James Evans (born February 9, 1989 in Perth, Western Australia) is an Australian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, most famous as lead guitarist Mickey Diamond in the glam metal band, Rock Shout City. He is also the lead guitarist and lead guitarist for the thrash metal band, Warsaw. He is the primary composer and songwriter for both bands, although he gives credit for "Denim Venom," Rock Shout City's biggest hit, to fellow guitarist Mitchie Rich.
[edit] Gear
Mickey Diamond uses all of the following guitars on and off stage:
- Gibson Les Paul Ebony Custom
- Charvel "San Dimas" Star with purple lightning finish
- Charvel "Spiral Checkerboard" Star
- AXL "Bloodsport" Jacknife
- Gretsch White Falcon
His guitars are all outfitted with Dean Markley signature strings on the 10-52 scale with a set of active EMG 81 and EMG 85 pick-ups with the exception of the White Falcon. He usually gives preference to Marshall amplifiers such as the JCM800, although he started his career using the AXL Rapture 150HR Half-Stack, before making the shift to Marshall. He started his career using a Digitech RP500 multi-effects pedal before making the step up to the Digitech GNX3000 Guitar Workstation.
