The clasification of orders here seems not to match the clasification in Neoptera. Not sure of correct treatment. --Pfafrich 12:06, 21 November 2005 (UTC)

I'd go with the Neoptera scheme but only tentatively so; in any case - does the ITIS citation make sense? The "other" group of neopterans as the sole content of there?!
The "old" split in two (Exo vs Endopterygota) was the "hemi-" vs "holometabolia" thing. But a) no pupa is the ancestral state and b) pupa evolved possibly several times (compare chrysalis to fly pupa for example). Needs to be checked though; try ISBN 0521821495 Dysmorodrepanis 21:14, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
OK, I made a compromise at Pterygota (taxobox vs article). It ought to be OK for this group for the time being... I found no source that restricts the Exopterygota to the Paraneoptera (the former Psocoidea - bark lice n stuff) thus I used Paraneoptera. Dysmorodrepanis 21:55, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
