"Diesel exhaust has a characteristic smell." Don't all types of fuels have "characteristic smells"? :-)
"relatively harmless carbon dioxide" -- by calling CO2 emissions "relatively harmless", are we making a (non-NPOV) claim about the (in)significance of greenhouse gasses and global warming?

Don't you think saying that Carbon Dioxide is "relatively harmless" is a totally stupid idea, it is clearly a harmless gas given the state of the atmosphere
