Excelsior Estates is a city in Clay and Ray Counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. The population was 263 at the 2000 census.

Excelsior Estates is located at (39.390606, -94.210328)[3].
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.2 square miles (0.6 km²), all land.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 263 people, 95 households, and 66 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,173.1 people per square mile (461.6/km²). There were 111 housing units at an average density of 495.1/sq mi (194.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 95.44% White, 0.76% African American, 0.76% Native American, 2.66% from other races, and 0.38% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.04% of the population.
There were 95 households out of which 44.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.6% were married couples living together, 12.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.5% were non-families. 28.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.77 and the average family size was 3.27.
In the city the population was spread out with 35.0% under the age of 18, 4.2% from 18 to 24, 36.5% from 25 to 44, 18.6% from 45 to 64, and 5.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 99.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 98.8 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $26,667, and the median income for a family was $26,563. Males had a median income of $38,125 versus $15,500 for females. The per capita income for the village was $13,286. About 15.4% of families and 16.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 20.5% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those sixty five or over.
