Evans Middle School (Formerly Known as O.P. Evans Jr. High School), was founded as the first junior high school in Coweta County in 1956. It was soon followed by Madras Junior High School. Many famous people attended O.P Evans. Such as...
Evans is known for it's odd location which is 700 feet from Newnan Hospital and 540 feet from the Coweta County Prison. Evans academic rival is Madras Middle School and their athletic rival is East Coweta Middle School.
