Eurostar (music)

Eurostar is the way in which artists are called in europop and eurodance, achieving fame in a large portion of Europe, it is usually used during the past few years with artists who get widely accepted participants in the Eurovision Song Contest.

This adjective is usually used only with artists europop and eurodance as Lene Nystrøm, Carola, Alexia, Eiffel 65 or Princessa not being used normally for artists from other genres, but some Scandinavian rock artists may also be considered within this, like Lauri Ylönen or Andreas Johnson. Schlagers artist can be considered too.

The so-called artists are usually originating from continental Europe, but few artists from the United Kingdom or Ireland, as Sophie Ellis-Bextor or Johnny Logan, can be eurostars too.
