[edit] Culture
Many of Eulonia's inhabitants are members of the Gullah ethnic group of African Americans, some of whom also live on nearby Sapelo Island. The McIntosh County Shouters, a Gullah traditional music group, performs regularly at Eulonia's Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
Eulonia and nearby hamlets of Crescent and Shellman Bluff are home to The Buccaneer Club, Sapelo Station, Hunter's Cafe (restaurants), site of River Oak's Condos, Pleasure Point, and Stonefield neighborhoods. The Sapelo River runs through Eulonia and has its source just inland of US HWY 17. Between Eulonia and Darien on HWY99 lies Meridian, Georgia, site of the embarkation point for the ferry to Sapelo Island.
Local celebrations include the Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade at Shellman Bluff and the Jack's Bluff Yacht Club Annual Fishing Tournament (amateurs only).
