Ethel C. Roosevelt was Theodore Roosevelt, 26th US President's second daughter born in 1891. She was the only daughter of TR and his second wife, Edith K. Carow. Ethel photo at the White House in the fall of 1901. Ethel, who was only ten when photographed here, held her debut into society in the White House on December 28, 1908. It was an all-night party for the young unmarried guests, with dinner at midnight and dancing until morning. President and Mrs. Roosevelt left the party soon after receiving the guests at ten.
