I just took a biology course, and the electron transport change proteins require two electrons to pump "1" hydrogen through to the other side. Thus, all the 2H+'s on the outside should be just H+'s.
Is my genetics professor right? Talked with someone in the field and he said the same thing, 2 electrons to pump one H through the proteins, and this image is wrong.
