Essvik is a small logging town in Sundsvall Municipality, Västernorrland County in the north of Sweden. It has a population of 818 (as of 2005).[1] It is located about halfway between Sundsvall (to the north), and Njurundabommen (to the south). The mill that inevitably started the growth of the town, was started by a man named Johan Nordling in the late 1800s to early 1910s.[citation needed]
