Tequila Espolon is a brand of tequila produced in Arandas, Jalisco, Mexico. The company was founded by Ramon Valdes G. after he left Tequila Herradura. Tequila Espolon sponsored a state-wide beauty contest, Nuestra Belleza, on July 22, 2006 and broadcast the pageant on Televisa Guadalajara. The brand was chosen because of its importance to Arandas, which is currently attempting to increase tourism to the area. this tequila is a very popular drink in Mexico.
