- Esmeralda, launched in 1944, was a River-class frigate originally in the service of the Canadian Navy as HMCS Glace Bay.
- Training ship Esmeralda (BE-43), launched in 1953, is a steel-hulled four-masted barquentine tall ship in the Chilean Navy, it is a symbol of the Chilean navy and it's nicknamed the "White Lady". According to recent testimonies, it was used for a few days as a detention center during 1973. Despite that fact it is still the most known and beloved ship of the navy.
