[edit] Adoption

Hello there, Escape Artist Swyer. I'm The Random Editor. I noticed you are interested in being adopted. If that is still the case, I would be glad to. I have close to 2100 edit. So, If you want me to adopt you, leave me a message here. Even if you don't want me to, I'm always up to answering a question. Cheers. --Random Say it here! 00:07, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes I would be glad to adopt you. Add the following onto your userpage {{Adoptee|The Random Editor}}. I will give you assingments shortly. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (ταlκ) 00:24, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Hello there Escape Artist Swyer. Sorry about forgetting to give your assignment. First things first I want you to install WP:POPUPS. To do this go to User:Escape Artist Swyer/monobook.js and add {{subst:navpop}}. Save the page and bypass the cache. This will allow you to revert vandalism. Once complete, inform me on my talk page. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (ταlκ) 00:24, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Next, I have a boring, yet important assignment. Read WP:5P, WP:REVERT, WP:WARN, and WP:POPUPS. Inform me when complete. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (ταlκ) 20:21, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Now read WP:VAND and applying what you have learned revert a case of vandalism and warn a user appropriatly. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (ταlκ) 02:10, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
Keep up what you are doing, and have some fun. I will check in now and then, and I will hand out a new assignment in about 4 days. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (ταlκ) 19:41, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Good. You are definitly making progress. Now I want you to read WP:N, and then go to WP:AFD and comment in a deletion discussion. Edit the discussion so your comment looks like *'''Delete''' - reason for deletion. --~~~~. If you have any questions feel free to ask. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (ταlκ) 00:20, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
I apologize. I somehow missed the fact that you had already !voted in a afd. Well here is the next assignment. Go to WP:RFA and !vote for a candidate you think is ready for adminship. Leave me the name of the page when you are done. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (ταlκ) 20:03, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
I would appreciate it if you would complete your assignment. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (ταlκ) 17:41, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Hey great work. Sorry if I was a bit snappy. Keep up what you are doing. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (ταlκ) 02:36, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

Looking good. --Tλε Rαnδom Eδιτor (ταlκ) 23:23, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] CH deletion properly contested

I have removed the {{prod}} tag from CH, which you proposed for deletion, because its deletion has previously been contested or viewed as controversial. Proposed deletion is not for controversial deletions. For this reason, it is best not to propose deletion of articles that have previously been de-{{prod}}ed, even by the article creator, or which have previously been listed on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. If you still think the article should be deleted, please don't add the {{prod}} template back to the article, but feel free to list it at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! —C.Fred (talk) 00:24, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

With the {{prod}} tag, any removal of the tag, other than through pure vandalism, constitutes somebody contesting the deletion. The article is then ineligible for deletion, and AfD is the process to use.
By contrast, an original editor may not remove a speedy deletion tag such as {{db-bio}}. That is appropriate to re-add to an article until users other than the original editor have reviewed and removed it. If you think that no assertion of notability is made in the article, that is the appropriate tag to use. —C.Fred (talk) 00:33, 17 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Abba/BBA

Where are Abba articles listed in the backlog of articles needing copy edit? If you could give me a link, it would save me from searching thru the many cleanup entries. / edgarde 19:13, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

They are in Backlog - Articles needing copy edit - Articles with several capitalisation mistakes. There are several articles there relating to Abba. Thanks. Escape Artist Swyer | Talk to me | Articles touched by my noodly appendage 09:06, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
Okay I see. Those articles are categorized in Category:Pages with several capitalization mistakes because I added the {{Capitalization}} tag to them.
So far I have next to zero support (and credible opposition) for moving these articles to lower-case names. I'm refraining from acting on this because I don't want to start an edit war. If no one decides this is worth doing in a month or so, I'll remove the templates. / edgarde 09:21, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
