The Escuericito (Odontophrynus lavillai) is a species of frog in the Leptodactylidae family. It is endemic to Argentina. Its natural habitats are dry savanna, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland, subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland, intermittent freshwater marshes, pastureland, rural gardens, urban areas, heavily degraded former forest, aquaculture ponds, and canals and ditches. It is threatened by habitat loss.
