[edit] National team
Lemmens won two caps for Belgium in 2004.
[edit] Club
Lemmens started his career at KSK Beveren in 1995, and was a regular from 1997 until 1999, when he signed for Real Racing Club de Santander. After four seasons and 82 Spanish league matches for the Cantabria outfit, Lemmens joined RCD Espanyol and was a regular in 2003/04.
[edit] 2004/05
The form of Carlos Kameni meant Lemmens was confined to bench duty, with just a Copa del Rey match to his tally. He was therefore pleased to have chance to sign for Olympiacos CFP in the summer of 2005, even though he had to compete with young Kleopas Giannou for the substitute goalkeeper's jersey, behind regular No1 Antonios Nikopolidis.

[edit] 2005/06
Lemmens didn't manage to play a single game with his club, Olympiacos, and thus it is rumored that he may be sold elsewhere. For now though, he remains the 3rd goalkeeper behind Antonis Nikopolidis and Tomislav Butina. Therefore, he is considered by his team as a non-existing player in Olympiakos' squad.
[edit] 2006/07
On January 31, 2007, Erwin Lemmens was finally released by Greek club Olympiacos. Lemmens did not manage to play a single game while playing behind starter Antonis Nikopolidis and backup Tomislav Butina. He quickly joined Dutch club RKC Waalwijk on a free transfer.
On February 10, 2007 he played his first Eredivisie match for RKC against Heracles Almelo [1]
[edit] 2007/08
He was signed by newly promoted Dender for the 07/08 season and won the competition with former R.S.C. Anderlecht goalkeeper Jan Van Steenberghe for the number 1 spot. After a hip injury however, his season came to an end.
