This article is mainly just a list of education and "memberships". Could someone summarize E.C. Pollard's research and put it in perspective? I know he was working on DNA repair mechanisms in the mid-to-late 1970's, but I don't have enough expertise in biology or biophysics to describe this properly. (Imagine that, someone on Wikipedia admitting to having insufficient expertise!) Another good topic might be Pollard as a teacher, for he surely was an excellent one.
