Ermal Island (Portuguese, Ilha do Ermal) is part of one of the most impressive landscapes in Portugal. Situated in the National Park of Peneda-Gerês (Parque Nacional da Peneda Gerês), about 25 km north of Braga, in Vieira do Minho, where horizon cut by green scarps torn by deep valleys, filled with river flows. A famous festival in Portugal takes places in Ermal, it is named "Festival da Ilha do Ermal". Beyond music, this event provides varied activities: rural tourism, climbing, Handle Ski, boat, horse rides, among others.
