[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Goron.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Goron.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or ask for help at Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. Thank you. -- Carnildo 12:06, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Page move
Note that Wikipedia:Vandalism states that users must have 25 edits before they can move a page, and a reason must be stated. I'm giving you a warning: if you move the page w/o a solid reason and maintain less than 25 edits, I will be forced to initiate further action. Thanks! — Deckiller 22:32, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Please note that there are several conventions regarding the naming of Wikipedia articles. The general principle regarding the names of Wikipedia pages is expressed thus:
Generally, article naming should give priority to what the majority of English speakers would most easily recognize, with a reasonable minimum of ambiguity, while at the same time making linking to those articles easy and second nature.
or, alternatively:
Names of Wikipedia articles should be optimized for readers over editors; and for a general audience over specialists.
Several specific guidelines regarding naming of pages (by topic, by title characteristic,...) are listed on this page: Wikipedia:Naming conventions, and in this category: Category:Wikipedia naming conventions.
Additionally, technical guidance regarding Wikipedia page names can be found in: Help:Page name. Related guidance, regarding what happens when two different names should refer to the same article, or when a single name refers to several meanings that each deserve their own article can be found in Wikipedia:Redirect and Wikipedia:Disambiguation. How and when to include a namespace qualifier in a page name is explained in Wikipedia:Namespace.
Guidance on changing page names can be found in: Help:Moving a page. When you're not sure whether renaming a page is appropriate or desirable, please consult Wikipedia:Requested moves. Thanks for collaborating! Dancter 01:29, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] The WB Television Network (CW)
Why did you move this article to that name by adding "(CW)"? iirc, that network will cease to exist in September and will be replaced with The CW Television Network. Zzyzx11 (Talk) 06:39, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] PlayStation 3
Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to PlayStation 3. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. --Lumina83 21:10, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- And please don't repost the experiment regarding the Nintendo failures. Thanks. :) - Lucky 6.9 19:18, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
- Copyright violations are really bad. Please don't cut and paste from other websites. Thanks again. - Lucky 6.9 19:30, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Xiaolin Showdown
The series is over. There will be no new episodes. TV.com also states that Xiaolin Showdown's "Status: Ended" Please stop making these changes to the article, or you may be blocked for disruption.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 10:08, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unspecified source for Image:Nhead.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Nhead.gif. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.
As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:09, 8 November 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jusjih 02:09, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
