I made a series of edits that add up to a fairly substantial revision...I thought I'd sum up here and ask for comments:
- I added a section for Leinsdorf's books--I think for musicians these, especially Composer's Adovocate, are as big a legacy as the records.
- I added catalog numbers to the Recordings section--I hope that's kosher. I can't find coherent guidance for discography anywhere on WP--what little there is is very pop oriented and fairly useless for classical and jazz musicians who made hundreds of recordings which come out in numerous formats and compilations.
- I tried to "flesh out" the intro a bit, and added the bit about his real name. Does anyone know why he changed it? Anyway please don't delete that since I'm adding a redirect from "Erich Landauer".
- I also expanded and reworked the bio section somewhat. I switched the paragraphs on the Kennedy Assassination story and the IPO 6-day-war incident, and found a source for the IPO bit; but I'm actually dubious that either paragraph belongs here at all--they feel fairly unencyclopedic. If anything they probably belong on the Kennedy Assassination and IPO pages respectively.

- About the name change, i can only guess he did it because "Landauer" is a typically German-Jewish name (remember Cabaret!). After all, his master Bruno Walter dropped the equally typical "Schlesinger". --RCS 12:49, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Non-free image?
I removed the book cover image because it was non-free. User:Sallyrob restored it. Did he/she read this notice:
"This image or media is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and allowed only under a claim of fair use per Wikipedia:Non-free content, but it is not used in any articles. Unless some reason to retain it is given, the image will be deleted after Wednesday, 17 October 2007."
