Regarding the title congressman v. representative is similar to conversation v. protocol. In the case of Matt Santos, a fictional elected member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Texas, would in conversation be addressed as congressman. While in the Chamber of the House of Representatives or in a historical context, protocol would be used and addressed as Representative Matt Santos of Texas or in the AP style, Rep. Matt Santos (D-TX) which is the style C-SPAN uses.

How is he based on Ed Rendell, besides being the Democratic governor of Pennsylvania? Maybe that should be elaborated upon... --RabidGreenMonkey 30 June 2005 05:17 (UTC)

I believe we should remove the bit about the website, that Eric Baker is irrelevant to a degree. Does anyone know who he is.

During the most recent episode (7-20) Baker was discussed in respect to the Vice Presidential nomination, but that nomination was not made. The final sentence shold be removed, as it is not yet the case that Baker is to be the Vice President. If this information is from spoilers, they should be referenced.

[edit] Convention site

The Convention was not in San Diego; that was the Bartlet-Ritchie debate. It may also have been the site of the Republican Convention that nominated Ritchie. The exterior shots of the Democratic Convention that nominated Santos over Baker, Russell and Hoynes were of the San Jose Arena (a.k.a. the HP something-something-at-whatever, it's hard to keep track of these corporate arena name-changes). The interior shots seemed to resemble the United Center in Chicago.

The thing had the exterior shot of the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California but the televisions in the background say the convention was held in San Diego here [1] --Blue387 18:13, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
