Erick Lee Purkhiser (born October 21, 1946), better known as Lux Interior, is an American rock musician and a founding member of the band The Cramps.

Born in Stow, Ohio, he grew up in the Akron area with a brother, Mike Purkhiser.[1]
[edit] Siblings
Mike Purkhiser played guitar in a band in Cleveland, Ohio called the Walking Clampetts (formed in 1981, but Mike joined in 1984). They had no released output and played cover versions of other people's songs. Other members of the Walking Clampetts included John Teagle and Johnny Clampett. Mike also played in a couple of other bands called The Action (not to be confused with the British '60s group of the same name), and 3-D.[1]
