Erich Abel

Erich Abel is a fictional charactor in Vince Flynns novel Consent to Kill.

Charactor Biography Erich Abel is an antaganist in Vince Vaugns Consent to Kill. Abel was born a sickly boy in communist East Germany.He joined the Stasi, or secret police and intelligence agency if the communist party at an early age. He eventually got out and became a private contractor. He had had dealings with Prince Rashid before and Abel thought the Saudi terrorist was a sick sociopath. Rashid put him in contact with Saeed Ahmed Abdullah a wealthy Saudi industrialist. Saeed Ahmed Abdullah paid overall Twenty-Two million dollars to kill Mitch Rapp. Abel accepted and hired Louie and Claudia Gould to kill Rapp. Rashid who was more deeply involved in the plot than Abel knew paid him 5 million extra dollars to kill the assassins. The assassins failed but the killed Rapp's wife Anna Rielly.Rashid then ordered his assassin Saudi intelligence officer Tayyib to kill Abel. Rapp,who was also looking for Abel, found Abel's secretary being tortured by Tayyib. He saved the secretary and she told Rapp that Abel was in a mountain home in Austria. Rapp finds Abel there and tortures him for information about Rashid and the assassins. Abel reveals everything he knows but Rapp who hates him for killing his wife lights the house on fire and leaves Abel in there to burn to death. It is later mentioned that his body was found in the fire.
