Under applications, this page says erbium is:

Used in nuclear technology as a neutron absorber (moderator)

I don't know the nuclear properties of erbium, but I believe an element that absorbs neutrons is called a poison, not a moderator. And I believe erbium is unlikely to be a moderator because moderators need a small atomic mass to function.

This comment can be deleted when the text is resolved.
