Erato Records

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Erato Records is a record label founded in 1953 to promote French classical music. In 1992 it became part of Warner Bros. Records. In 1999 Erato lauched a subsidiary Detour Records.

The label's most notable discographical achievement is the recording of the complete keyboard sonatas of Domenico Scarlatti, performed by harpsichordist Scott Ross and first released in 1988 as a 34-CD set.
