Era Records
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Era Records was a record label located in Hollywood, California. It was founded by Herb Newman and Lou Bedell in 1955 as a pop, country and western and jazz label. [1] In the late 1950s, the label switched to mostly rockabilly music. In 1959 Bedell sold his interest in the label to Newman. During the 1970s, the Era label was sold to K-tel. In the 1990s, K-tel began reissuing some of the early Era material.
