Epoch is the name taken by a notable EU based player-made guild within the Age of Conan (AoC) universe developed by Funcom[1] for PC and the Xbox 360.[2] The game launched at 9PM GMT on the 17th of May 2008 for those registered for early access. The guild was created on 19th of May 2008 when the first few players reached level 20 (the required level to enter the guild management options). The full release of the game in Europe May 23, 2008 for the PC version[3] brought the rest of the pre-release community into play.

[edit] Aims & Vision
Epoch is summarised as a PvP, PvE and RP guild.
PvP
Epoch aim to establish the biggest and most renowned battlegroup on the server of Aquilonia. This is to be accomplished through contruction and defense of the "Battlekeep" (needs ref to AoC site description) and domination of server-wide PvP battles and events.
PvE
Epoch aims to explore the biggest dungeons and epic adventures available in Hyboria.
RP
Aquilonia is described as a "RP-PvP" server. As such Epoch intend to perform all their activities within the context of roleplay.
Central to all the three aspects of the guild is the construction of the guild city. Epoch's aim is to build the Tier 1, 2 and 3 levels of the city as quickly as possible to ultimately result in the contruction of a Battlekeep.
[edit] Achievements
Epoch currently contains approximately 150 active members. Most of whom are currently attempting to proceed through the levels to the current maximum level 80.
A member of Epoch was the 3rd player on the EU server Aquilonia to reach the level limit of 80, within 3 weeks of the release date.
Members of Epoch have constructed all the buildings available to be built in Tier 1 player-cities in the area of Poitain (one of the three areas available for players to build their own cities).
