Epicrates angulifer is a boid species endemic to Cuba. No subspecies are currently recognized.[3]

This species is classified as Lower Risk (LR), but is close to qualifying for Vulnerable (VU), on the IUCN Red List of threatened species (v2.3, 1994).[2] Year assessed: 1996.[4]
