Epic is currently using the Williams International Williams FJ33 engine for testing but plans to switch to the Pratt & Whitney PW600 final production. The aircraft seats 4 or 5 including the pilots, in 2+2 or 2+1+2 configuration. The aircraft took Epic only 6 and a half months to go from clean sheet design to a flying prototype, first flight took place on July 6th 2007 from Roberts Field in Redmond, Oregon[1]. The company claims the jet will be available for less than 1 million dollars, not as an introductory price, how ever a final price has not been set.
