Epic Rock Radio, with acronym of ERR, is an Internet radio station specialized in broadcasting power metal and symphonic power metal music. ERR is a solo project of Jarrod Kailef and started broadcasting in July 2004. Currently, with more than 4,000 songs from more than 200 bands/artists, the library of the Epic Rock Radio could be considered one of the largest collections of power/symphonic metal music broadcasted as an online radio. ERR is also one of the most popular Metal stations broadcasting via Live365.[1]
The broadcast system is supported by Live365 services, as a result it is only possible to listen to the station using either the free or VIP account available from Live365. Additionally, since the bandwidth needed for streaming the music is provided by the owner of the station, there are no commercial interruptions during playback. Additional features provided on the ERR homepage include an online song request service, a shoutbox, and a message board.
Currently, the quality of the streaming audio is 128 Kbit/s powered by MP3 technology.
