ePaper® was actually a Macintosh only product developed & sold by Second Glance Software, from 1993 to 2000, at which time the US Registered Trademark was sold to Adobe Corporation. (ePaper had not been trademarked in the US prior to 1993)

ePaper® was a document management system that scanned pages from Epson, HP, and Apple scanners, automatically OCRed the pages, put the text into a free-text searchable database, compressed & archived the images. The product was bundled with Epson scanners sold in North America.

The product also had document mark-up, and forms-recognition software for easy editing.
