  • Why should it be deleted? Eon is a valid role-playing game, and if you delete it, why not just delete everything related to Eon. It is old, so it may not be able to be found on the internet, but there is certainly other sources where it is available on. EonRPG 22:59, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

  • I understand that Eon is a notable RPG - it has an article, although a stub at present. However, the article about Eirra doesn't assert notability. There are specific guidelines for notability of fiction; it is generally notable if it contains "substantial real-world content from reliable primary and secondary sources." Perhaps Eirra has been the subject of an RPG guide/book?
However, Wikipedia is not a game guide and the article at present is an unverified biography of a fictional game character who has 29 possibly-unrelated Google hits. (Of course the Google test is not definitive; as you point out, articles on pre-Internet subjects will have non-Web sources.) It'd be great if you could add some reliable sources to this article, and perhaps point out why Eirra is notable. Was she the first or only something in Eon? Also, it would be useful to take the article out-of-universe a bit. Sources and an assertion of notability will help this, but phrases like "She cannot cook, and she says that the last time she tried, she burned her house down." are in-universe ("describing the fiction from the perspective of characters within the fictional universe, treating it as if it were real.") The Manual of Style article on writing about fiction could help. It also has examples of exemplary articles. I will leave the article the way it is for now, but someone else could nominate it for deletion at any time. I will leave a copy of this message at the article's talk page also. If there's anything I can help you with, you can leave a message on my user page. --Kateshortforbob 09:03, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi again! I've just noticed that today's featured article is Dungeons & Dragons, another RPG. You can check out the Dungeons & Dragons characters category for examples of articles on RPG characters. --Kateshortforbob 12:06, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
