Hi, welcome to the Wikipedia! Glad to have you around. Anyway, a few hints:
- You can read how to format articles at Wikipedia:Manual of Style
- You can read all the official stuff at Wikipedia:Policies
- You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~ . Adding a fourth one puts in a timestamp as well.
Have fun, and happy editing! Yours, Meelar 22:17, 6 Mar 2004 (UTC)
Hi Eoghan
Unfortunately I don't speak Gaelic, but I wondered if you've seen http://gd.wikipedia.org - if not, you might be interested in contributing to it.
In the meantime, keep up the good work here on English Wikipedia! Warofdreams 18:31, 6 May 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Whoops...
Eoghan, I am extremely sorry for this belated response. I got your messege on my talk page, but somehow forgot about it when other stuff was posted below it. I like your proposal, it has a lot of merit. I have begun to suspect that it is very difficult to enact technological changes to Wikipedia. For instance, for the 4 months I've been here, I've been hearing about how the software is going to automatically turn double hyphens -- into actual en- or em-dashes for us, but it hasn't happened yet. User:Kate has mentioned how the developers are often busy and over-worked, (which is odd, considering how much free help they could get from all of the programmers in the community). In any case, I just feel awful about not having responded earlier, I don't know where my head was, sorry. func(talk) 00:43, 19 Oct 2004 (UTC)
