This is the talk page for discussing improvements to the Enterprise Rent-A-Car article.

Article policies

Don't you think the statement "most employees hate working at Enterprise" can hardly be considered factual? I've been an Enterprise employee for 9 years, and while no company is perfect, I see no evidence that "most employees" hate working here. It would be pretty hard to employ over 60,000 if most hate working here. I'm not going to edit the entry since I'm not impartial. I don't expect Enterprise to be criticism free, but at least a statement of fact in an encyclopedia should be backed by some amount of evidence.

[edit] employees

Pretty confident that 7,000 employees a year is not the highest in the US, anyone confirm this?

[edit] Age

Someone should find out how old someone needs to be to rent a car. I am 20 and I was able to rent a car from them but I had my dad with me at the time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rajbhai87 (talkcontribs) 04:54, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Links

Anyone think that there is an inordinate number of external links on this page?Puchscooter 18:49, 20 November 2006 (UTC)

Taken care of this, Wikipedia is not a collection of links Puchscooter 18:56, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re-added

The topic below indicates a link was deleted, it has been re-established with an accurate source (original copy of the opinion issued by the trademark board). Please do not delete items pending sources without prior discussion.

[edit] removed

I went ahead and removed that little bit, because whether or not it's true, it has absolutely no facts to back it up.

[edit] License Plate Frames

Does anyone know what the deal is with those license plate frames that say "My other car is an Enterprise rent-a-car?" They don't appear to be rentals from Enterprise, I'm not sure why someone would put that on their own car.

Those are indeed rental cars. Every car Enterprise rents in California has one of those license plate frames. Jackryan 19:57, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] frames

I work for ERAC as a summer intern, so my guess is that they're other employees who love their job a bit too much. Do I enjoy my job there? Yeah, and I don't want it to be over in a month, but there's no way I'd ever put one of those frames on my car.

[edit] Trivia?

I dont understand the "trivia" section. Is this a reference to the commercials that are airing during the Stanley Cup playoffs? I'm not hearing "Uniprise"

[edit] POV and signing comments

First thing first, a disturbing number of people commenting on this talk page have failed to sign their comments. When you make a comment on the talk page, always sign it by adding four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. Thanks.

Second, this article sucks. If I look at the edit history, something like 90% of it is people either trying to say Enterprise is awesome or people trying to say Enterprise sucks. This is an encyclopedia people -- it's not supposed to say whether Enterprise rules or drools.

That whole "Employment" section should probably be deleted. It is okay to have a "Criticism" section, but when it was there, it was all about one website.

I sort of think that like 75% of this article should be deleted and then start fresh... Jaysweet 15:23, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

I'm removing the criticism section, since it deals completely with a non-notable website. I am also removing the link to that non-notable webesite from the EL section, per WP:EL. - Crockspot 03:28, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rosie?

I'm deleting the section about some supposed remarkable employee of ERAC from Milwaukee. It doesn't belong. 68.36.197.209 08:04, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cleanup

I have cleaned up the article in general. The biggest problem was the criticism section, which was solely about a self-published blog. I have removed the section, and the external link to that blog. If someone can come up with actual reliably-sourced criticism, feel free to add it to the article, but what was there was totally outside the bounds of Wikipedia policy. - Crockspot 04:23, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

I hate to whine like this, but this article is a mess: Too many links about what makes/models of "might" be in what class of car (it completely depends on the region and availability, so it's pot luck what you get at each price level). There's no need for a Plug-In Hybrid wikilink in the See Also section (most pages don't need See Also sections, anyhow). The "Failing Enterprise" seems to be a non-POV addition to the site. A worthy company of inclusion, but an unworthy article. Formulanone.one.two 20:14, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't believe that it's noteworthy to include the 'Criticism' section. If you were to go to an offline encyclopedia about the company, you certainly wouldn't see mention of a blog like this. Particularly, I don't see how it's accurate to say that FailingEnterprise is the online community for both customers and employees. There's nothing official about it. There's way too much content given too this typical complaint site. Masscritk (talk) 01:09, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] bug on their website

Okay, I'm being a bit cheeky posting this here because it's not Wikipedia related.

I was going to send the following bug report to them, but their obnoxious email form wants me to supply a telephone number and then "Create Account", which I don't want to do. Does anyone else feel like emailing this to them to get it fixed?

Thanks, — Alan 17:23, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] United Car Preps Association of Enterprise Rent A Car (UCPAERAC)

This is totally made up, so I removed it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Masscritk (talk • contribs) 03:05, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] cars offered
