Enric Gensana Merola was an important man in the FC Barcelona at the end of the fifties and beginning of the sixties. Very physically, supported eight seasons in the entity and only an injury of meniscus, of which he never recovered, forced him to leave the club, with which he played 131 caps and scored 13 goals. He began to play football in the low categories of UE Lleida, team with he made his debut in the Second Division and where he coincided with Gonzalvo III, Basora and Moreno, who gave very good reports of him to the Barça technical staff. He signed Barça in 1956 and in the same year the team wins the Cup and he mades his debut with the national team. At personal level Gensana's principal achievement was that he was elected the best player of the Little World Cup celebrated in Caracas, ahead of his teamate Segarra and of football players like Garrincha or Didí. His successful career was truncated by the above mentioned injury of meniscus, which provoked his transfer the Osasuna in 1964 and one year later to the Condal, where he retired in 1967. International in ten caps, Gensana made his debut with the national team in May 1957 against Scotland in Madrid and said goodbye in May 1961 also in the capital of Spain, against Wales.
