Talk:Enoch Hill Turnock

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Enoch Hill Turnock, or E. Hill Turnock as he is generally referred to in the area, was an architect who designed many public buildings in the Elkhart, Indiana area. This wikipedia entry is being created as part of a group project by a group of students enrolled in an Intro to Humanities course at the Elkhart Campus of Indiana Tech. As their instructor, I was looking for a way to make the section on architecture more relevant to them. There is very little material on E. Hill Turnock available on the internet, and I could find no wikipedia article on him. The students worked in groups, with each group having an assignment for a portion of this article. Students were expected to engage in research, and they found that they had to expand their research techniques beyond basic internet searches. They were also expected to provide citations for their work, and to make sure that they did not use any copyrighted material without permission.

In many ways this is a work in progress, as their time was limited and there are several questions or topics related to Turnock that still need investigation. It is quite likely that a future section of HUM 2000 will begin with this article and expand upon it.
