Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --chris.lawson 07:33, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in RMS Titanic. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. -- malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 00:41, 5 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Your edits to RMS Titanic

Hello Enigma-e. I see that you have added your website to the external links section of this article. It has been deleted (once by me in connection with reversion of vandalism by others) and you have reverted those deletions 4 times. Please review Wp:el#Links_normally_to_be_avoided regarding links. While your site appears to be non-commercial and is well-done and interesting, it probably fits within the definition of links to be avoided. Also, if you revert an edit 3 times within 24 hours you can be blocked, and you have done that 4 times. If you feel that your a link to your site should be included you should start a discussion at Talk:Titanic, as there are editors who feel that it should not be part of this article. (I have no strong feelings myself, other than this article already has way too many links) But please don't keep reverting the deletion as that could get you blocked. Thank you. You have been temporarily blocked for violation of the three-revert rule. Please feel free to return after the block expires, but also please make an effort to discuss your changes further in the future. -- malo (tlk) (cntrbtns) 02:10, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
