[edit] November 2007

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to English people appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. Gscshoyru 21:54, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Please do not add the Sykes reference to the opening paragraphs. It is an interesting and useful addition, but it belongs in the section on the genetics, not in the introduction. Sykes is not the most important geneticist in the world, he is one of many and should not be treated with favoritism. Cop 663 02:54, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on English people. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Michael Konik. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. [edit] English people

Hi, if you want to discuss the settlement of Great Britain and Ireland then there is a specific article where you can do this. See Settlement of Great Britain and Ireland. This article is specifically for discussing genetics and origins and is not about ethnicity. Remember ethnicity is a social-cultural construct and is about collective beliefs in origins and not necessarily origins themselves. Having a specific and different article about the actual genetic and biological relationships between the peoples who occupy the islands surrounding Great Britain and Ireland makes sense from this perspective don't you think? All the best, and consider contributing to the settlement article, it could do with a lot of work, tidying up and copy editing etc. if you are interested in contributing and have the time. All the best. Alun 07:26, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Jacoby Ellsbury

Hello. The family info you are providing on the Jacoby Ellsbury page is not notable, nor is what a high school play-by-play announcer thinks. Ellsbury is also still a prospect and is not a star of any magnitude until he has spent time proving his talent in more than 20% of 1 MLB season. Please do not clog the article with non-notable information. Thank you AZrooter (talk) 22:50, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
