- This article describes the English system almost solely in terms of its supposed shortcomings.
- It lacks historical information. When, where, and how did the English system develop? What preceded it? What followed it?
- There's an implication that the adoption of technology played a role in the development of the English system, as well as in its demise. This should be spelled out. -- Rob C. alias Alarob 16:52, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
