This article was created in response to this person dying. Wikipedia policy states that dying does not make you notable. Was this person notable or was this article simply made because they died? Titanium Dragon 06:06, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Both Liviu Librescu and Jocelyne Couture-Nowak popped up in the wake of the Virginia Tech massacre. I say we wait and see a bit for the time being.Circeus 08:37, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

This is pretty frequent with notable but not-super-famous academics—everyone in their field knows them, but no biographies are actually written until they die. --Delirium 18:48, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
