Description
English: Diagram roughly showing the heirarchy of privileges and rights on English Wikipedia. This is a mix of software rights and community-designated rights (namely, ArbCom). See WP:UAL. Note:
  • Significant overlap between ArbCom, CU, oversight (ArbCom -> CU, oversight)
  • Developers often have CU and oversight, but do not act as part of the English Wikipedia hierarchy
  • WMF Board/staff occasionally have CU and oversight, and occasionally do act as part of the English Wikipedia hierarchy (w:WP:OFFICE)
  • Rollback is a recently implemented right and is likely to increase very rapidly, which may make this diagram out of date
  • Stewards are like "global bureaucrats", but typically only act in projects without local bureaucrats or in ways that local bureaucrats cannot do. Therefore stewards would never be expected to act at English Wikipedia to do things that bureaucrats can do (they however, still act to grant CU/oversight, take adminship/cratship/CUship/Oversightship away, all things that bureaucrats cannot do). All of these actions, as elsewhere, are done only when clear consensus exists, or when processes dictate it.
