EngineWorks, Inc. (“EngineWorks”) is an Internet Search Engine Marketing (SEM)[2] company with headquarter offices in Portland, Oregon. Founded in 2005[3], the company provides online services including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Paid Search Marketing, and Social Media Marketing (SMM).[4]
The company’s SEO services add relevancy elements [5]to Web sites that can be recognized by search engine algorithms in order to generate Natural search listings. Paid Search Marketing services deliver online visitors through Pay-Per-Click (PPC) and Paid Inclusion engines. Social Media Marketing (SMM) services leverage emerging social networks, blogs, and online communities to facilitate two-way communication with target audiences.
EngineWorks' management team consists of Sean McMahon, President and CEO, Kent Schnepp, Vice President Strategy and Client Services, Paul Mardesich, CFO, and Mike Rosenberg, Vice President Client Acquisition.
The trademark ‘EngineWorks’ was registered with the US Patent and Trademark Office by the company as a registered trademark on September 12, 2006. The company also owns a capitalism advocacy Web site EngineWorks.org, which is located online at EngineWorks.org.
EngineWorks was an inaugural board member of the SEMpdx organization in Portland.[6]

[edit] Sean McMahon
Sean McMahon, oversees all business aspects of the Company, including strategic planning, corporate direction, and day-to-day operations. In 1999, Sean was a founding member of the management team at TrafficLeader, Inc., a search marketing company. During his management of TrafficLeader he was instrumental in business development for the company, such partnering with AltaVista in 2001[7]. He, and his former partners, profitably grew this company for several years, until it was acquired by Marchex, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCHX) in October 2003.[8] Mr. McMahon began his career as Brand Manager at Anheuser-Busch, Inc., and has a Master of Business Administration degree from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Kent Schnepp, is responsible for the design, structure, and improvement of systems to deliver search marketing services to online commercial entities and interactive media agencies.
With more than a decade of Internet marketing experience, Mr. Schnepp is a recognized expert [9]in site optimization and development. In addition to overseeing the Search Strategies Department, Kent focuses on enhancing the quality of processes, infrastructure, and best practices to ensure that services exceed client success metrics. Prior to co-founding EngineWorks, Kent was founder and president of an online media agency focused on site design and Web applications for both large and small commercial entities. In addition to owning this agency, Kent was Art Director for three years at a leading online catalog publisher.
