Category talk:English phrases
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm wondering if this page is an appropriate place to collect colloquial expressions? It seems that somewhere in either Wiktionary or Wikipedia, we should be collecting colloquial expressions, but I can't seem to find a category by that name, or even an article (although I created a stub). Has this one just fallen through the cracks? KellyCoinGuy
[edit] Pointlessly Selfreferential
The article entitled English phrases includes in its list of English phrases "English phrases" which opens/re-opens the article entitled English phrases. There is no meaning given to "English phrases" such as "Double Dutch" might reveal so I propose to remove "English phrases" from the list in the article entitled English phrases.SilasW 18:32, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merge suggestion
This seems simlar to the Category "English idioms" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:English_idioms). perhaps the two lists should be merged —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.107.70.147 (talk) 21:47, August 24, 2007 (UTC)
