[edit] Ceremonial or admin. counties?
This pages says ceremonial counties, but the map certainly looks like administrative ones. For example, this would have implications for Tyne and Weir stubs -- under the former scheme they'd go into Northumberland or Yorkshire, according to the map, they'd go into "England". - Tyne and Wear is a ceremonial county - at least according to the Tyne and Wear page (Tesside isn't, though, which could be the reason for the confusion - either that or you're getting confised with the historical counties). The split is definitely ceremonial counties (as per Wikipedia's guidelines). And the map was based on the map on the Ceremonial counties of England page. - I don't know, I think I'm now confused as to what I was confused about. Certainly I'd no idea that T&W had a lord lieutenant, and it appears it certaingly does, so I shall slink off in disgrace... Alai 09:42, 18 September 2005 (UTC)
