Talk:Endowment policy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page now refers to a commercial endowment buyer - LSA Endowments. I feel that this is advertising and should be removed. I had previously mentioned the endowment trade organisation apmm.org as it is a trade body rather than a commercial company. Please give me guidance on this as I am a newby editor. I have edited the article about Endowment Policies today. I have added information on the Traded Endowment Market including a link to the UK's endowment trading body - the APMM. I hope that is OK. I am new to editing and I don't want to breach the advertising rules.

There is a lot more that I can add to the article when I have more time. If my initial changes are accepted, I will revisit it later in the month. I plan to research relevant source for use before making further edits.

[edit] Merged with Endowment (Life insurance)

I just merged the short text of Endowment (Life insurance) into this article. I didn't bother waiting for a discussion, as the merged article was clearly a small subset of the present article. However, there is one link I haven't resolved yet: there are now two entries in Endowment that point to this article, and one has a note attached:

payment of the face value of a life insurance policy, usually at age 98-120

I don't know what to do with this. I hesitate to copy it into this article, as it is unreferenced and I don't know what country it applies to. --Heron (talk) 16:15, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
