Encina Preparatory High School is a high school located in Sacramento, California. It is a member of the San Juan Unified School District. The school has long suffered from low enrollment and has been suggested for closure several times throughout its history.[2]

The school has 751 students; 63% of whom are socioeconomically disadvantaged. The school is 35% Hispanic/Latino, 30% White, 25% African American, and 8% Asian/Filipino.[3]22% of students are English Language Learners with the main first languages spoken being Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian.
