Empuriabrava

Empuriabrava is one of the largest marinas in the world. It is located on the coast of Girona, Catalonia.
Empuriabrava was originally built on a swamp, and was transformed into a bustling community of houses and markets. It is also the home of one of the biggest used boat sales in the world where one can buy a large yacht to a small fishing boat. It is also a very popular tourist area, and holds annual festivals and parties.
Since it is situated in the Bay of Roses Empuriabrava is a very historical place. One can even take a short boat ride and visit a Greco-Roman acropolis on the shore. You can also learn to skydive at Empuriabrava aerodrome, learn to sail at one of its many sailing schools, and eat wonderful food that is a hallmark of Spain and the Catalan region.
