"Employee of the Month" is the first single released off SpongeBob SquarePants's album SpongeBob SquarePants: The Best Day Ever being released as a digital single on iTunes in August 2006 making it the first ever single released by SpongeBob or any character from the series.

"Employee of the Month" did not receive a music video. Although, "The Best Day Ever" did receive its own video/episode as it was the only known video filmed to promote SpongeBob SquarePants: The Best Day Ever. Even though "Employee of the Month" was an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants there was still no sign of the song being played in it and the album was not even out then making it in no way a promotional video/episode.
